the Palagio Vecchio,
cradle of art and nobility
Il Palagio Vecchio is a historic villa from the 1300s located in Fiesole, 20 minutes from Florence. It was once home to the famous Renaissance painter Alessio Baldovinetti, a student of Domenico Veneziano, and Bartolomeo di Jacopo Salviati, an influential Florentine noble connected to the Medici family.
Surrounded by five hectares of greenery and olive trees, the villa rests on the hills where Florentine nobility sought refuge during the summer months to escape the city’s heat and clamor.
